The Qing Empire (Kin Loung) Damascus Steel Straight Sword detailed with the Chrysanthemum symbolizing its nobility and elegance. This straight sword is made by the historical Shen Guang Long Sword Factory in China. These swords are designed for collectors and experienced martial artist.
Blade: The Qing Empire Damascus Steel Straight Sword blade is hand-forged Damascus Steel with the etching process to show the detailed wavy pattern. The blade style is hollow ground carrying a full live sharp edge. It is full-tang making it strong and sturdy. There is a seven-star Little Dipper constellation engraved on one side and the Chinese characters for “Shen Guang Long” engraved on the other.
Scabbard and Fittings: The scabbard fittings, guard, and pommel have solid cast brass fittings detailed with the Chrysanthemum. This plant cultivated by Chinese in the 15th Century B.C. and known as one of the “Four Gentlemen”. The Chrysanthemum was an emblem of the Old Chinese army. The flower is symbolic of powerful yang energy. The scabbard and handle are made from aged Ebony, making them both very strong and aesthetically pleasing with a very dark, almost black wood color.
