Miao is both a remote location in China and an Ethnic group of people known for their exotic weapons. The Miao Dao sword is very similar to the tai chi Dao, but it is much longer.
The blade on the Mia Dao is made of stainless steel which has been polished to a mirror finish. It is crafted with a rounded spine to increase its rigidity. The guard is circularly shaped and made of brass. The fittings on the scabbard are stamped brass. The handle and scabbard are made of hardwood that has been sanded smooth with a thin lacquer coat applied.Â
