Made by Shen a highly respected family in Long Chuan village, this straight sword is a grade beyond the regular Long Chuan weapons. The steel for the blades is much higher quality as we have had a higher grade of steel (high carbon content) delivered to the maker. The blade itself has a moderate flex that can bend approximately 90 degrees when pressure is placed on tip of blade. The swords guard and handle end are made of casted brass rather than the standard beaten brass that serves to give theses swords a better balance than most commercial swords as well as giving them a very fine appearance. Handle and scabbard is made of Oak Wood stain rich dark brown. These Long Chuan Straight Swords are available in 28″, 30″, and 32″ blade lengths. They come with a free tassel and sword case.
